Seelan Proof Acrylic Damp Coating — Stops Wall Seepage at the Source

This acrylic coating soaks into the plaster and forms a moisture barrier from the inside, so the wall stops feeding damp to the paint above it.

How to apply

1. Scrape off all loose, bubbled or flaking paint down to bare plaster
2. Let the wall dry as thoroughly as conditions allow — this step decides the result
3. Apply an even coat with brush or roller
4. Wait 4–6 hours, apply a second coat on badly affected walls
5. Leave 24 hours before painting

Common questions

My wall is damp right now. Can I apply it? Dry it out as far as you can first. Applying over an actively wet wall traps moisture and the coating will not bond properly.

Will this fix a leaking pipe inside the wall? No. If a pipe is leaking, that has to be repaired first — no coating can hold back a live leak.

Interior or exterior? Both. For rain-driven damp, treating the external face gives the better long-term result.
